JOB DUTIES:
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, adjusting journal entries, and month-end or year-end book closing based on GAAP, using QuickBooks. Perform payroll and payroll tax filing, using QuickBooks, following federal and multi-states’ regulations. Work with Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Access to prepare monthly sales report and sales tax return in multi-states. Conduct research on advanced tax and accounting laws and regulations, and responsible for researching for U.S. and China tax topic. Work with Ultra Tax CS, Fixed Assets CS, Planner CS and Accounting Creative Solutions to develop tax projections, perform tax planning, tax compliance, and tax filings, and ensure compliance with payments, reports or other tax requirements for individuals, corporation, partnerships and fiduciary entities on a timely basis. Discuss tax issues by phone calls and/or by mails with IRS and local government department for clients, regarding the notice. Analyze financial statements analysis, and conduct valuations of corporations and business using multiple valuation methodologies. Perform preliminary analysis of the business operations, trends, costs, revenue, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice as per clients’ requests in English and in Mandrin Chinese with our Chinese-speaking-only clients. Examine and prepare financial documentation, including written reports for both English-speaking and Chinese-speaking-only clients; explain the details of the financial documentation in English and in Mandrin Chinese to Chinese-speaking-only clients. Communicate with Clients in English and in writing & speaking Mandarin Chinese with Chinese-speaking-only clients about complex tax matters/terms. Responsible for explaining US vs China accounting and tax differences to Chinese-speaking-only clients both from Individual and Corporate levels. Prepare preliminary review of budgets and prepare draft periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs for the assigned clients. Responsible for reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Help clients establish, dissolve companies and apply for business licenses in multi-states following federal and state regulations. Suggest methods, in English and in Mandarin Chinese, to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits for both English-speaking and Chinese-speaking-only clients.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus at least 2 (two) years of job related experience. Foreign degree equivalent is acceptable. We will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience. Must be Proficient in Mandarin Chinese writing, reading and speaking (native speaker proficiency level). Experience to include at least 6 months of working with QuickBooks; Excel; Ultra Tax CS; Fixed Assets CS; Accounting Creative Solutions; Advanced tax and accounting laws and regulations research; Discuss tax issues with IRS and local tax department for client; financial statement analysis; Federal & multi-states’ tax preparation & filings for individuals, corporations, trusts; Bank reconciliation.
